Tree-lined heritage street in Niagara-on-the-Lake at golden hour

BORN AND RAISED LOCAL ADVOCATE

Weston Miller
A Councillor For Our Community

Leadership that puts residents first — strengthening quality of life, representing your voice at town hall, and working together to achieve responsible growth for the town we call home.

Why I’m Running

To listen and represent the voice of residents at Town Hall.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a community worth protecting — not only for its heritage and beauty, but for its people, neighbourhoods, and shared sense of community. It deserves thoughtful leadership that listens to residents, cares about their concerns, and leads with purpose.

I’m running for Councillor to help protect what makes our town unique, improve quality of life for residents, and ensure we plan responsibly for the future. That means listening across Old Town, Virgil, St. Davids, Glendale, Queenston, and our rural areas — and leading with respect, balance, and common sense.

Meet Weston

The Priorities

Preserving what matters. Planning what’s next.

A focused, practical agenda built around the issues that shape daily life in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Responsible Growth & Planning

Thoughtful development that fits our town, adheres to by-laws, respects infrastructure, and protects what makes Niagara-on-the-Lake unique.

Good Governance & Transparency

Open, accountable, and respectful local government — better communication with residents, clearer decision-making, stronger ethics, and a renewed focus on restoring trust at Town Hall.

Quality of Life for Residents

Resident-first decisions that protect livable neighbourhoods, improve public spaces, and keep Niagara-on-the-Lake calm, safe, and welcoming for families, seniors, and all who call it home.

Heritage, Environment & Rural Character

Stewardship of our built heritage, mature tree canopy, green space, and the agricultural landscape that defines us.

Record of Service

Raised here.
Serving our town.

  • President, Chautauqua Residents Association

Strengthened the Association’s role as an active voice for residents, leading advocacy on planning issues, neighbourhood character, and meaningful public consultation.

  • Board of Directors, The Niagara Foundation

Providing trusted financial oversight for major heritage preservation initiatives. Treasurer during the landmark acquisition of The Wilderness.

  • Board of Directors, Royal Oak School

As someone who attended Parliament Oak Public School, I know how important local schools are to community life. I strongly support access to local education for families across town.

  • Chair, Shaw Festival Shivaree

Reinventing this annual fundraiser to bolster Niagara’s largest cultural charity through volunteer leadership, event planning, fundraising, and sponsor engagement.

The Chautauqua Residents Association is small, but mighty, punching well above its weight class.

Under its current president, Weston Miller, as well as previous leaders, this group works to ensure the unique enclave that comprises the Chautauqua neighbourhood is preserved and respected.

The association also tries to foster community spirit by hosting events and gatherings throughout the year.
